As you may already know the 2009 F1 in Schools World Championships are to be held in London, England from the 15th to 17th September (inclusive).
As Proud Founder and Sponsor of F1 in Schools, Denford Ltd is planning to hold an ‘International Conference’ during the event. The conference will essentially be an international gathering of Denford Customer and Dealers and will provide delegates with the opportunity to review the latest additions to Denford product range.

As Proud Founders and Sponsors of F1 in Schools, Denford Ltd are pleased to announce that the Formula One in Schools Technology Challenge will hold its fifth World Championships in the competition’s founding country when over 30 teams from around the globe gather at London’s Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre.

The World Championships of this Formula 1 linked global challenge brings together teams of students aged 11 to 19 from around the world who have each competed in their home countries and won through to represent their nation. They compete for the ultimate prize, a scholarship to City University London and the prestigious Bernie Ecclestone trophy.

Rapid Prototyping technology is a major focus for schools, and with this in mind, Denford are delighted to announce the launch of the Dimension uPrint 3D printer, which provides highly-affordable, hassle-free 3D printing of durable ABS models direct from .stl design files, generated using any 3D CAD design software such as SolidWorks and Pro/DESKTOP.

The New Turn 270 Lathe
This 2 axis CNC lathe has a totally-enclosed high-visibility interlocked guard, making the machine suitable for all levels of education and training. Programmable spindle ‘speeds and feeds’ make the New Turn 270 ideal for cutting a range of resistant materials such as free cutting alloys and steel, as well as wax, plastic and acrylic.
The machine comes with the following equipment supplied as standard: VR CNC Turning operating software, a quick change toolpost and holder, and a manual self centring 3 jaw chuck. Optional equipment includes an 8 station programmable turret, pneumatic chuck and guard, spray mist coolant, tailstock and Universal Machine Bench.
